T. Verner Smith is the senior partner of our firm. He is a fourth generation Madison County native. Verner attended primary school here in Jackson, then graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He was then accepted at one of the premier trial advocacy schools in the Southeast: Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Alabama, where he completed his legal education in 1985. Verner was licensed to practice law in Tennessee in 1985, and began working with Moss, Benton and Wallis, as well as Hill, Boren P.C.
