Over 7 million Keurig units recalled due to BURN HAZARD

December 23, 2014

The Consumer Products Safety Commission is announcing the voluntary recall of over 7 million Keurig MINI Plus brewing systems due to a burn hazard. According to the report, more than 90 burn injuries have occurred in at least 200 incidents involving hot water escaping the unit.

Recalled brewers have an I.D. number starting with "31". They are single serve, hot beverage brewers, sold in multiple colors. Retailers included most all major retailers as well as the company's website.

The units were sold from December of 2009 through December of 2014. Customers are instructed to contact Keurig for a free repair of their machine.  Click here for more information about the recall from the CPSC.
