Stairlifts recalled after reports of 2 people killed.

July 22, 2015

Over 34,000 stairlifts made by Acorn Stairlifts have been recalled in the U.S. following reports that two people were killed after the chairs fell apart.

Acorn is urging anyone using certain versions of their Superglide 120 to contact the company immediately. The Consumer Product Safety Commission added, "If a consumer is able to use the stairs safely, then he or she should not use the lift until it is repaired."

The recall models are five versions of the Acorn Superglide 120, manufactured between March 2007 and December 2011. For more info, visit this link.
