Feel you have been falsely accused of a crime?
A woman has filed a lawsuit against ALDI Grocery Stores after an incident in 2017 in Muncie Indiana in which she was accused of shoplifting. In her lawsuit – filed in a Delaware County Circuit Court – the woman says she visited the local ALDI store on July 19, 2017, and bought bread, cheese and potato chips. As she was paying for the food, the shopper alleges that another worker approached her and asked if she intended to "pay for the other items in the purse." The woman claims that at the employee's insistence, she emptied the contents of the purse, which ultimately contained no merchandise from the store.
The lawsuit contends that the incident caused her embarrassment, a tarnished reputation, and required counseling. She is seeking monetary compensation for her pain, suffering, and medical expenses.
Ultimately, receiving legal advice gives you the additional benefit of proper counsel as well as more equal footing in the lawsuit battle.
